I've always been fascinated by gargoyles (I have lots of them protecting my bedroom ^^) and I came up with Barinagh, who has to be one of my favorite characters.

A very long time ago, this foul demon named Natas placed a curse on this mansion that if the gargoyle that protects that mansion fails to protect the human from other demons that gargoyle will die and never go to heaven (they are basically lost souls, going to neither heaven, nor hell) and that human becomes the next gargoyle and has to guard the next human that lives in that mansion, and so on. But to break the curse and allow all the gargoyles in the past to enter the gates of heaven that gargoyle must slay Natas, but so far all failed. Well, a couple hundred years ago, Barinagh was a 19 year old human who's gargoyle failed to protect him and Barinagh became the next gargoyle. Now in present day, He now protects a young women his age named Rose that he falls in love with and vows to break the curse and protect her no matter what, even if it means losing his life. I haven't finished the rest of the story, but that's about it so far. Barinagh is very gentle and loving, but a awesome fighter. He also is a strong Christian and wears a cross around his neck. He can be a a little stubborn and jealous of guys hitting on Rose. He also sometimes hates the way he looks and thinks of himself as a monster, and why would Rose ever want to be with him. But Rose always tells him thats not true and cheers him up.
